Square-Tail Lodge is unique in that it not only has some truly excellent river fishing for Trophy Brook Trout, but also has some of the best Pike and Walleye fishing to be found in Quebec. Although many of our guests are dedicated fly fishermen, and wish to fish only the river, other anglers enjoy spin fishing the variety of fish that are available at our lodge. For the fly fishermen the Broadback River itself flows right by our lodge. For the lake fishermen, there are endless miles of lakes to fish and explore.

Most fly fisherman can expect to catch a trophy brookie of 4 pounds or more during their week with us. Large daily catches of walleye are to be expected and pike in the 15 to 20 pound range are not uncommon.
